A new 2.5D Contouring operation has been added, arranged on the same principle as the well-known 2D Contouring operation. Its key difference is that in one operation you can machine several curves or vertical walls located at different heights at once.

Feedback from NHLStenden University EMMEN/LEEUWARDE

In 2018 the Centre of Expertise Smart Sustainable Manufacturing (NHLStenden University EMMEN/LEEUWARDEN) has started a research & development program in the domains of Added Manufacturing and Robotics. For the research the Smart Polymer Granulatie 3D Welding System is developed. The system consists of a Kuka KR16-2 manipulator with 7th axis turning table, an Xtrution granulate extruder-system with heated hose and a in house developed printhead.
SprutCAM helps us to digitize our systems, connect them to the real world and optimize our printing and welding operations. The postprocessor converts positioning and IO handling into the Kuka robot language.
