Full-size foam milled car prototype

Full-size foam milled car prototype | SprutCAM XOctober 3, 2023

We have shown milling with a foam robot many times before. Today we will show a slightly different project.
Nowadays, the use of robots is increasing. They are used at all stages of car production, from the stage of developing a prototype of a new car, to the assembly of finished cars on the assembly line and its painting.
This project is a full-size prototype of a car, the program for which is written in SprutCAM X Robot by our customer from Brazil Precision Usinagem.

Machining begins with a rough cut using a hot wire, shaping the initial contours of the car. Then, precision milling steps in to bring out the finer details and finishes.
