The SprutCAM Tech global conference brought together the development team and partners from different countries for the first time in recent years.

From June 12th to 15th in Limassol, Cyprus, SprutCAM Tech welcomed eagerly awaited guests – representatives of partner companies from Europe, Asia, North and South America. Over 60 participants, accompanied by their families, had productive working sessions and enjoyed their time during these days. Some arrived early and stayed a few extra days after the conference, taking advantage of the beautiful nature, pleasant June weather and warm sea of Cyprus for a delightful vacation. The excitement that filled everyone was justified, as meeting in person had been virtually impossible in previous years due to the pandemic.

Day 1: kick off and precious insights

The conference started with the CEO of SprutCAM Tech, Andrei Kharatsidi, announcing the upcoming release of version 17 of SprutCAM X and SprutCAM X Robot scheduled for September 2023. He gave a live demonstration of its key features. With numerous new features and enhancements, users can expect the most powerful and user-friendly version of the CAM system for CNC machines and industrial robots in the company’s history. SprutCAM X and SprutCAM X Robot offer an intuitive and ergonomic interface, smart hints, machine-aware equipment programming technology, a natural workflow familiar to CNC machinists, ease of learning, a built-in AI assistant, support for the latest manufacturing technologies and an all-in-one CAD/CAM/OLP solution for industrial robots. These advancements make SprutCAM X and SprutCAM X Robot the perfect solution for the next generation makers.

During the conference, representatives from partner companies in Italy, Germany, Brazil, Slovenia, Norway and Turkey took the stage to share their secrets of successful business with SprutCAM X and SprutCAM X Robot. They also shared their specific know-how with their international colleagues. In addition, guest speaker Michalis Georgiou, MArch, Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture at the University of Nicosia, gave a talk on Computational Design. His presentation covered the development and application of computational tools to support and enrich design and construction processes.

The conference partner, the Finnish company CloEE, presented its latest development – a cloud-based system for monitoring and managing industrial equipment parks. This system naturally complements and enhances SprutCAM Tech solutions. The CloEE solution allows customers and integrators to connect industrial machines directly through software, eliminating the need for specific hardware gateways and making it the fastest solution on the market.

And the award goes to…

One of the highlights of the conference was the award ceremony for the best in the SprutCAM Tech partner network in 2022. The awards were given in different categories:

• In the SprutCAM X Leader category, two companies tied with the highest annual sales: SinteSi S.r.l, Italy, and Sprut Software Technology Kunshan Co., Ltd, China.
• TOMORROW INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD, Taiwan, received the SprutCAM X Challenger award for achieving the highest sales in its first year.
• INNOCOL V.O.F. DBA: CADCAMSTORE from the Netherlands was recognized as the SprutCAM X Motivator for having the highest customer retention.
• The SprutCAM X Accelerator award went to SGMT Technologies Sdn. Bhd, Malaysia, for being the fastest-growing reseller.
• CAD/CAM Systeme Datentechnik Reitz GmbH & Co, Germany, was named the SprutCAM X Brand Ambassador for its outstanding contribution to the SprutCAM X brand.
• The SprutCAM X Innovator award for the best technology project related to automated manufacturing of stairs in a robotic milling cell was presented to VIDDAL AUTOMATION AS from Norway.

Day 2: business processes and a sea cruise

The second day of the conference focused on relevant business issues and the vendor’s interaction with resellers. Partners gained insight into SprutCAM Tech’s internal operations, including development and support of SprutCAM X, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and lead generation. The goal was to make the company’s internal processes more understandable and transparent for partners. Changes in SprutCAM Tech’s management, sales and marketing strategies, global PR, the positioning of the company and its products were explained. These changes are already reflected in the new company website.

The second day ended with group work among the conference participants. The leaders of each group gave short presentations on the assigned business tasks, followed by a panel discussion between SprutCAM Tech executives and all other participants on the topic “Let’s shape the future of SprutCAM X together”.

Day 3: one-on-one discussions

The open questions and unresolved issues were discussed with the vendor during one-on-one meetings the next day. More than 20 meetings and discussions took place in this format at a famous golf club near the city of Paphos. During the free time between negotiations, participants had the opportunity to learn the basics of golf from a professional golfer at a training session.

At the end of the conference, participants expressed their satisfaction with the valuable information provided in the business program as well as the enjoyable entertainment activities. One of the most memorable events was a yacht trip along the island’s coastline, where participants had the opportunity to swim in the open sea and enjoy dinner on board against the backdrop of a sunset.

Although we have tried to capture the emotions and atmosphere of the conference in the dedicated video, the true experience can only be fully felt by being here in person. Starting this year, the SprutCAM X World conference will become an annual event, welcoming more participants, partners and guests each year.
