Costruzioni Meccaniche of L’Aquila, Italy has once again demonstrated its remarkable capabilities in the field of CNC machining programmed in the SprutCAM X CAM system.
The video presented shows the SprutCAM X adaptive roughing operation, a technology that provides a remarkable gain in productivity thanks to high working speed and optimized toolpath.
The adaptive roughing is based on the SprutCAM X Adaptive SC milling operation. This technique is effective in removing large amounts of materials at high feed rates, with the maximum cutting depth and relatively shallow cutting width. The material is removed in a spiral-like fashion. The toolpath contains no sharp corners. The smoothness of the toolpath is accurately defined by the specific parameters for the roughing rounding radius, the finishing radius and the link radius.
